SMOOTH TV - television

Smooth TV is a 39 episode series of 13 minutes each. It's a show that was commisioned by Te Mangai Paho for broadcasting on Māori Televisions network.
The demographic for this series was 9 to 13 year olds and Lou Tyson was our presenter. In each episode there were different segments:
Inspo
Talented Taiohi
He aha Tenei
Te Wero
Each had it's own style and feel which meant that the episodes were able to be cut up into bite sized segments that could be distributed on other platforms, like Social Media.
Our Inspo segment was where we profiled a young up and coming star and showcased them in a positive and fun way in their environments.

Talented Taiohi is where we find talented stars online and give them a platform to showcase their talents, whether it be some amazing poi skills or a beautiful voice.

We put two funny friends together in a room and give them a 'suprise' object or game that they have to 'react' to in real time in te reo māori, and the reactions are hilarious.

Our presenter Lou Tyson gets given a 'wero' or a challenge to do each episode as well. This series was in production from 2018 to 2019 and airs on māori television every week.
